The NCPA presents the 31st edition of Artie’s Festival this month. The programming for the festival, always curated by Gauthier Herrmann and NCPA Chairman Mr. Khushroo N. Suntook, includes well-known masterpieces, relatively lesser-known compositions and reductions of famous orchestral works. In this edition, Artie’s presents the series called Mostly Beethoven which continues with the Beethoven String quartet cycle.
Artie’s Festival, founded at the NCPA in 2008, has since toured the Gulf, Southeast Asia and Europe. Known for inventive programming, the ensemble performs chamber masterpieces alongside arrangements of symphonic works—memorable highlights include Bruckner’s 7th Symphony and Mahler’s 4th Symphony with Dame Felicity Lott.
