The program opens with Beethoven’s tender Romance for violin and piano, followed by Berio’s expressive Concert for Two Violins, blending modern harmony with Italian lyricism. Frolov’s sparkling Divertimento and Shostakovich’s whimsical Five Pieces highlight both virtuosity and charm. Fibich’s lush Poem and Dinicu’s lively March Round Dance add romantic and folk flavors, while Kumisbekov’s Poema offers a haunting, Central Asian-inspired close to this richly diverse program.
