John Williams ‘Imperial March’ from Star Wars Khachaturian Violin Concerto Tchaikovsky Symphony No. 6
The Symphony Orchestra of India will perform for the first time in Croydon at Fairfield Halls. The programme begins with Williams’ ‘Imperial March’, a grand and iconic work that debuted in The Empire Strikes Back, and has since featured across the entire Star Wars franchise, following which the acclaimed violinist Marat Bisengaliev will perform Khachaturian’s Violin Concerto with powerful, surging rhythms and vivid colours. The concert will end with one of the great 19th century masterpieces by Tchaikovsky; perhaps the most beloved and popular of all his great symphonies – the Pathetique.
